An Update from Marianne
Dear friends,
I saw the surgeon last Friday and I am now out of the sling and have moved on to more aggressive PT. I am glad to be able to move my left arm again, but since it was unused for 8 weeks, I have a long way to go to get back my strength and flexibility.

AKPsi Alum Dick Oliver-Fall Pledge Class 1950-Appears in New York Times
One of our distinguished elders, Dick Oliver from the pledge class of Fall 1950, recently appeared in the New York Times. Dick has been a fan of the Green Bay Packers all his life and owns a share of stock in the team which he proudly displays on the wall of his home. When the Packers announced their recent stock sale Dick was interviewed and had his picture taken. The story was printed in the November 16th edition of the Times.

Idle Thoughts From A Retiree's Wandering Mind from Terry Myron
I had amnesia once—or twice.
Protons have mass? I didn’t even know they were Catholic.
All I ask is a chance to prove that money can’t make me happy.
If the world were a logical place, men would be the ones who ride horses’ sidesaddle.
What is a “free” gift? Aren’t all gifts free?
They told me I was gullible... and I believed them.

Christmas -- A Cautionary Tale from Don Macdougal
With Christmas fast approaching, I would like to share an experience with you about drinking and driving.
As you may know, some of us have been known to have had brushes with the authorities on our way home from various social gatherings over the years. Well, I have done something about it.

Marianne's Great New York (Mis)Adventure as told by Chris Palen
11/5 The Day It All Began
Two weeks ago today we were in NYC for a play and to meet up with friends. After the play (Book of Mormon) we (10 of us) went to Sardi’s for a few drinks. Some of the ladies decided they wanted to go watch the ice skaters in Bryant Park. Well, two of them (the other one in her 20’s) decided to go skating. Marianne was a good skater when she was younger, however, this time she caught the toe of the skate and went down hard. Her forehead was bleeding and her knee was about four times it’s normal size. So, just as we paid up to go to dinner and meet the girls there, my phone rings and I’m told to meet them at Roosevelt Hospital’s emergency room. Here is a blow-by-blow after that.

RE: 3005 W Kilbourn Ave from Steve Seidl
I have researched the history of our purchase of the house, how it got called the Zoo and its eventual demise. I do believe the same buyer from our AKPsi days still owns the house.
